Anybody know if WHDVR wil include full DVR Functionality on the non DVR boxes?  My specific quesiton is will we be able to pause/rewind live shows on the Non DVR STB, or just watch shows we have recorded on the DVR, with no buffer available on the Non DVR STB?

Nobody has any idea what it will include, how it will work, when it will happen, what it will cost, where it will be.......

well then, give us some info if you know it.  Every other post is all speculation, if you know something concrete, tell the masses that have been on hold for months and months and months!

Don't let him fool you -- nobody outside of a few select AT&T & Microsoft employees know what the exact capabilities of the WHDVR will be.

Thanks.

UversetechMI says in a Michigan post that all techs have access to the WHDVR roll out schedule and that all areas will have it in 3 months "FACT."   I will believe it when I see it.

I speak to an insider regularly and WHDVR does not work right now.  They are having issues getting the non DVR boxes to play things recorded on the DVR box.  Issues arrise when the data is sent to the other boxes.  The most likely fix is all boxes will have to have a hard drive and it will take them a while to roll out new equipment.  Dont expect anything for a long while.  He did say they were on schedule for an August rollout but this has setback happened when they took it from a test enviroment to an actual live enviroment.

really!?!?  that's the first anybody has really said that.  Would make sense since there have been months and months worth of delays.  So frustrating to not have any official Uverse announcement or anything.  I really miss our having a DVR in multiple rooms.

This is convoluted since it would require the replacement of all non dvr stb's....? Or does this change to pay for dvr per room? At this point then the whole price structure and options would likely change too. Back to square one people will scream that this could have been done in the first place.

Perhaps that's why they changed the 3 for free STB promotion.

I can stream video/photos from my laptop wirelessly to my 360 to watch on the big screen in hd.  Not sure what the hold up is.  technology is there.

I wish they'd just give up on whdvr and let people have as many dvrs as the system will allow.
