My current Time Warner triple package (phone, internet, tv) is $110 (after taxes). So i called concessions today looking for the U-Verse hook up cuz it's now currently available. He does the configurations. We settle on the U300, the DSL Elite (6.0 Mbps), and phone (not included in the package) came out to like $135 before taxes!!! What gives??!!! I was so disappointed. Is this the case for all the rest of yous? Please say it ain't so, Bo!! Added: 25% off TV service $5 off Internet that kinda blows.

Let's be honest. There are no contracts with Time Warner. For the price difference of $25 you could add movie channels.

A one year price guarantee is NOT a contract. That maybe true, but wait and see your bill after that one year price lock(Guarantee) guarantee-the length of use(in this case cable prices) to be expected from a product offered.

I talked to a customer who was getting a good deal with TWC and I asked him why is he changing, he said that he was sick and tired of calling in so that he can get the right deal.
For what you have with TWC without a deal will cost you about $200 a month so once that one year is over unless you can get another deal (and Ive heard of TWC telling people bye when they ask for it) then your going to be much better off with U-verse.

Not true. Full price for all 3 services with TWC is $136.99. I cannot currently get U-verse and will look forward to trying it. I just wish people would be honest in their post.

Just like UverseTechMI said, the price is lower than what the original poster said.
I currently have the U300 and Elite package, no phone service. And yes, my pricing is based on the employee price matrix, which is the same for all AT&T employees.
If I wanted to add U-verse Voice Unlimited, it would be $109/mo (pretty much the same as UverseTechMI stated) for all services. Plus we get the HD Technology Fee waived off.
There are far much more benefits than what ButcherChop believes. Maybe you have been misquoted.

I do not currently have TWC and I never had it and never will have it however I am going off the words of what actually customers have stated they are paying and Ive seen there bills. So I went to TWCs websight and created a package in my area not even order everything and with current prom. and it was $179.35 a month. Then I ordered everything with a HD DVR 10 meg net and 2 other HF regular boxes (3 in total) and with current promotions it was $204.35 plus tax on top of that so its probably going to come to around $220 a month................. Without current promotions its probably going to be about $230 a month before tax but yea I am not being one bit honest at all................. Ill be the first time admit that Uverse isn't perfect and it's not for everyone however I can get basic service for less money then I can get with TWC. I selected 1 HD DVR and 1.5 meg net with no extra channels and their site qouted me $99.40 a month which is what I would get from AT&T but for $69.99 a month a savings of $20 a month.

Ok. I called back on Friday and was given a lower overall price. I decided to go with the U200 package and the 6.0 Mbps DSL, plus phone of $20. (VOIP is not available here yet). Turns out the concessions price given to me at first was wrong and had added up everything without my discounts. The new rep found that odd and my price was adjusted. I'm getting my install on Thursday, so im waking up early wed and running Cat5 throughout my house. Should be kick ass. Ps. I can imagine the tech's face when he sees his work order for a 6 boxer. Heh. Only thing he'll have left to do is the Bbox and NID pretty much.

yea, well, were up and running here at my home. Im not too pleased with my 6.0mb speed. Im actually ranging from 2.5mbps-3.5mb on the 6.0 package. Not good at all. Gonna do a quality check once all is said and done and see if there's bridge tap and my loop length.
brb.

Yeah, something isn't right because everyone I've seen runs pretty close to speed.
