Dude, the 99 dollar bundle is freaking cheap! That's 6 bucks a month cheaper than my current services, plus an upgrade to 3 Mbps!
My question is why is Detroit so special. I don't understand how they could suddenly reduce the price so much, I can't imagine it spreading from Detroit... I sure hope it does though!

I am in that stage of interest in a new technology where I madly try to gather as much information as possible about every aspect of it. I'll probably make a huge contribution to the wiki.

Maybe they realized the current prices did little to entice people to switch from pots. Maybe it is just a temporary promotion. Maybe they realize wireline is going to be second chair to wireless. Maybe they kept the initial prices high to limit demand while they worked the voip bugs out.

Err I knew I should of waited for a better deal. I was paying too much for my old pots line now with this I am paying to $20 much for my VOIP line.
It would be nice if they just dropped the voip cost more in line with other providers. I do understand that ATT offers a premium voip services.

This is more in line with what it should have been. I wasn't interested in the hassle of another install just to save about $5 a month.. This potentially is 20-30 in savings.. Though Smart too I might up my internet service so they get a little money back again.

The price in the Detroit market is low, due to the fact that in MI, at&t has lost more phone line than any area in the USA. Thiis phone price is for new uverse orders.

Why wait every 8 minutes to see the stupid Local On The 8's. When you can just go to your computer or download an application and see the weather in less than 8 minutes.

I just called and added the promotion to my existing package. I can confirm that it is, indeed, for new and existing customers. However, if you currently have service you will need to call a different number other than the one listed on the promotion site.

I called and inquired today. The service $10 for 1000 and $20 for unlimited is available to existing customers. But, they wanted $99 to install. I told them no, and they moved it to $50. I still told them no. I don't have phone service (home) at all now, and this was going to be a nice-to-have. They lost a revenue stream over a stupid install fee
