Thanks in advance for help with this question. I'm just trying to get an understanding of how my install will go next week.

Can you diplex a uverse signal and OTA signal over COAX?

That is how my old satellite and OTA antenna was configured in the attic.

Yes, you should be able to do that.  HPNA 3.0 over coax has an operational frequency well below that of the beginning of the television VHF range.  HPNA 3.1 uses a larger swathe of frequency, but it stops just shy of the beginning of the television band (I'm sure that's by design).  I can't vouch for the 100% stability of the HPNA setup if you diplex in the OTA signal..but on paper it should work.  However, be aware that the Uverse equipment won't be able to decode the OTA signal...you will need to plug a coax segment into a ATSC tuner (in the television itself or an external tuner) in order to retrieve the programming from the OTA signal.  You will also need a television with multiple inputs or another way of switching the "mode" of what you are watching from uverse to OTA.  And while it might be redundant to say..I'll also point out that the Uverse DVR won't be able to record from the OTA signal.
